Raw Cacao Cashew Mylk Recipe

IMG_2903.jpg

Ever since I was little I have been a chocolate milk FANATIC. Every restaurant my family would go-to, I would order it. As I got older, I realized that drinking chocolate milk 3 times every day probably wasn’t the healthiest choice and so I learned how to make my own guilt-free version! This raw cacao cashew mylk is filled with lots of antioxidants (hellooo, cacao) healthy fats (thanks, cashews), and its low on the glycemic index because of the blue agave sweetener used! I can confidently drink this three times a day now and it fuels my energy levels and is still just as delicious!

What You’ll need:

+Blender

+Nut bag

+Two cups cashews

+6 cups filtered water

+3 Tablespoons Blue Agave

+3 Tablespoons Raw Cacao Powder

+1 Teaspoon Himalayan Sea Salt

Instructions:

+Fill a medium-sized glass container with 2 cups of cashews and and ample amount of filtered water to let the cashews soak. Let them soak overnight to get them all juicy!

+Once they have finished soaking, rinse them in a strainer with cool water.

+Once strained and rinsed, add cashews and six cups of filtered water to the blender. Blend until smooth.

+Once blended, strain the cashew and water mixture through a nut bag.

+Add mylk mixture back to blender and add cacao, blue agave, and Himalayan sea salt. Blend until smooth. You may want to add a little more cacao and agave depending on your personal taste.

+Drink this thick, yummy, goodness up!!!
